A simple yet magical recipe for crunchy candied pecans that can elevate any dish or be enjoyed on their own.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the pecans and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly, until the pecans are coated and the mixture is thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Spread the pecans on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool completely.
  5. Once cooled, break apart any clusters and store in an airtight container.
