  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • To taste sea salt (optional, for sprinkling on top)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, then add both sugars and stir until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the pretzels with the toffee mixture, ensuring they are generously coated.
  5. Add chopped nuts if desired and fold them into the pretzel mixture.
  6. Spread the coated pretzels evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle sea salt over the pretzels if using.
  8. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, stirring halfway, until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool completely to harden the toffee.
