  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave until it’s completely liquid.
  3. Mix the melted butter and sugar together until well combined.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in another bowl.
  6. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips gently if using.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Let the brownies cool in the pan, then cut into squares and enjoy!
