Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×9 inch baking pan by greasing and flouring it.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until liquid.
  3. Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the melted butter and stir until well combined.
  4. Incorporate the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder into the mixture, combining until just mixed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until edges are firm and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.
