A delightful blend of bread, cheese, and sausage baked to perfection for a cozy breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the cubed bread, shredded cheddar cheese, and crumbled sausage in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in another bowl.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  5. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to soak up the liquid.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make it ahead of time by assembling the night before and baking in the morning. Leftovers store well for up to three days.
