A cozy and nostalgic bread pudding recipe that’s easy to make and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of stale bread, cubed
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of raisins (optional)
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Combine the cubed bread and raisins in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well blended.
  4. Pour the creamy mixture over the bread, pressing it down gently.
  5. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes.
  6. Transfer the soaked bread and custard mixture into the greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
  8. Serve warm, optionally with a drizzle of caramel sauce or whipped cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
