Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil in a large bowl, mixing until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, creating a base layer.
  4. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter and then add half of the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  5. Add the remaining cake batter on top, sealing in the toppings.
  6. Drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce and sprinkle the remaining pecans and chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool your cake in the pan before slicing and serving.
