A delightful dish combining flaky croissants with a creamy blueberry custard.

Ingredients

  • 4 croissants
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Cut each croissant in half and line the muffin cups with the croissant halves.
  3. Heat the milk and cream over medium heat until warm.
  4. Whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Gradually mix in the warm milk mixture.
  6. Pour the custard mixture into the croissant cups and top with blueberries.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use day-old croissants for better absorption. Experiment with different fruits for variations.
