A warm and buttery casserole combining flaky croissants, creamy cream cheese, and fresh blueberries for a delightful breakfast experience.

  • 68 buttery croissants, torn into pieces
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Blueberry sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  3. Fold in the torn croissant pieces and let them soak in the mixture for about 10 minutes.
  4. Layer half of the croissant mixture in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Dollop spoonfuls of cream cheese over the top, then sprinkle half of the blueberries.
  6. Add the remaining croissant mixture on top and finish with the rest of the blueberries.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and set in the center.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving, and drizzle with blueberry sauce if desired.

Notes

Use day-old croissants for better texture and flavor. Substitute blueberries with other seasonal fruits as desired.
