A simple and delectable butter chicken recipe enveloping tender chicken in a creamy, tomato-based sauce spiced just right.

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another minute.
  4. Cook the cubed chicken until no longer pink.
  5. Combine the crushed tomatoes, garam masala, and chili powder.
  6. Simmer for 15 minutes on low heat.
  7. Add the heavy cream and stir until well combined.
  8. Season with salt to taste and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  9. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
  10. Serve with rice or naan and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in yogurt and spices beforehand. Fresh spices enhance the dish significantly!
