  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold, cut into cubes)
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Additional sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold, cubed butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Combine gradually with ice water until the dough holds together.
  5. Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface.
  6. Fill the center with mixed berries, leaving a 2-inch border.
  7. Fold the edges of the dough over the berries.
  8. Brush the dough with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly before slicing.
