Fluffy Belgian waffles, perfect for breakfast or brunch, ready to be topped with your favorite ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Beat the eggs and then whisk in the milk, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the recommended amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve warm with toppings of your choice.

Notes

Leftover waffles can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months. To reheat, simply pop in the toaster.
