Satisfying snacks perfect for game day, featuring juicy beef sausages wrapped in flaky pastry.

Ingredients

  • Beef mini sausages
  • Puff pastry
  • Cheese (optional, e.g., cheddar or American)
  • Mustard (for dipping)
  • Ketchup (for dipping)
  • Barbecue sauce (for dipping, optional)
  • Honey mustard (for dipping, optional)
  • Egg (for egg wash, optional)
  • Milk (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Unroll your puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. If you’re using crescent roll dough, unroll it and separate it into triangles.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into rectangles, about 3×2 inches each. If using crescent roll dough, keep the triangles as is.
  4. Place a mini sausage at one end of each pastry rectangle. If you’re adding cheese, place a small slice on top of the sausage first.
  5. Roll the pastry around the sausage until it’s completely covered.
  6. Gently press the edges of the pastry to seal them.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the sheet, leaving some space between each one.
  8. Brush the tops of the pastry with a beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish. If you prefer, a light coating of milk will also work.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  10. Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. They can also be frozen before baking; just ensure to thaw before baking.
