A light and rich dessert with a silky smooth texture, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Gently heat the milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Whisk the egg yolks in a separate bowl until pale and frothy.
  3. Slowly add the warm milk mixture to the egg yolks, whisking constantly.
  4. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat; dissolve gelatin in cold water and add along with vanilla.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  8. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled mixture.
  9. Pour the mixture into molds and chill until set.

Notes

Serve with berry coulis or fresh fruit. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
