Bang Bang Ground Turkey Rice Bowls

A colorful and flavorful dish featuring ground turkey, rice, and a zesty Bang Bang sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (200g) uncooked white rice
  • 1 pound (450g) ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) black pepper
  • 1 cup (150g) shredded carrots
  • 1 cup (150g) sliced cucumbers
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Sauté the ground turkey in a large skillet over medium heat for around 8-10 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  4. Combine the cooked turkey with half of the Bang Bang sauce until coated.
  5. Assemble the bowls by dividing the cooked rice among four bowls.
  6. Decorate each bowl with the saucy ground turkey, shredded carrots, and sliced cucumbers.
  7. Drizzle the remaining Bang Bang sauce over the bowls.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet for best results.
