A delightful Banana Walnut Bread made with ripe bananas and crunchy walnuts, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  6. Gently stir in the flour until just incorporated.
  7. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Slice and serve warm with butter or cream cheese. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage.
