  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Incorporate the mashed bananas into the mixture.
  6. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then mix it into the banana mixture until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool the cake in the pan before transferring it to a cooling rack.
