Baked Stuffed Shells

Comforting baked stuffed shells filled with a creamy cheese mixture and topped with marinara sauce.

Ingredients

  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions; drain.
  3. Mix ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Fill each shell with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place stuffed shells in the dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or garlic bread. Can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
