Baked Egg Boats are a delightful and cozy breakfast option featuring a crispy baguette filled with a creamy egg mixture and gooey melted cheese.

  • 1 French baguette
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while you prepare the ingredients.
  2. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and hollow out some of the bread from the center.
  3. Whisk together the eggs and milk in a bowl, adding a pinch of salt and pepper for seasoning.
  4. Pour the creamy egg mixture into the hollowed-out baguette halves.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the egg mixture and add herbs if desired.
  6. Place the filled baguette halves on a baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
