A comforting and decadent dessert that combines rich butter flavors with smooth cream cheese and sweet cinnamon-kissed apples.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 package (18.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, cake mix, and 1 egg until well combined, then press into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, 2 eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth, then pour over the cake base.
  4. Toss the sliced apples with cinnamon and spread over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  6. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
