Cozy and warm apple cider donuts, spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg, perfect for fall baking.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. Whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Combine the apple cider, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before brushing with melted butter and rolling in cinnamon sugar.

Notes

Store leftover donuts in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for 2 months. Reheat in the microwave if frozen.
