Delightful cookie bars inspired by Almond Joy candy bars, featuring a blend of buttery goodness, almonds, chocolate chips, and shredded coconut.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup almonds, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually stir this dry mixture into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in shredded coconut, chocolate chips, and chopped almonds.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
